My first bag had a gentle face cleanser , serum , gel moisturizer, liquid lipstick, and a lip mask. 2nd bag will have another serum , hydrating face mask, lip gloss, repairing moisturizer (apparently worth $280!!??), and perfume. So far I’m happy with it, but I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it for a 2nd year, because at some point I’ll run out of bathroom storage or decide to spend money elsewhere. Since its inception back in 2012, IPSY has been offering premium glam bags aka subscription boxes for women. Each subscription box contains various beauty products that provide you with customized beauty and skincare products for everyday use. If you are wondering how the IPSY subscription box works, then you’ll benefit from our in-depth IPSY review.
The fist is the Murad Skin Smoothing Polish. You know I love a good exfoliator and Murad is a skin care brand that I trust. I am currently using the Annmarie Skincare Kaolin Clay Exfoliator but it will soon be used up and I am happy to have another exfoliator on standby. I also like the way that Birchbox allows you to choose one of your samples each month, so you know for a fact you’re getting at least one thing you really wanted. The selection is pretty small, especially compared to Birchbox, which makes it harder to find full-size versions of the samples you like. Under brand offers, you’re taken to a page with discount codes from the brands offered in that month’s Ipsy Bag.
It takes a literal month to get your products, and when they do finally come, there’s broken, half empty or just would never use stuff packed in an alright makeup bag. Hated it so much I declined the offer of a free month… I think mostly because it gives me heartburn to see it just sitting a couple states away for weeks in the tracking status. Cheap, unwanted products that take longer than shipments from China.
You can also gift a subscription to a loved one for three, six or 12 months. Previous bags have boasted items from cult brands like TONYMOLY, Christophe Robin, Verb, Glossier, and Murad. Members can shop past products at a discount, as well as IPSY offers that are updated daily at 9 a.m.
I will probably reach for that shade more than the matte cool toned shade on the left. IPSY vs. BoxyCharmPrice$25 a monthNumber of productsIt has fewer products in a box than IPSYRead the full BoxyCharm review here. According to IPSY reviews, subscription management is not that complicated.
I didn’t feel like I was especially greasy when I was done massaging it in, either. I have yet to receive my package for Feb and am about to be billed for March. When I told the CS rep my concerns I was brushed off with saying I should email again if I still haven’t received my package after 15 days. I’ve been with Ipsy on/off for yrs, finally they stopped sending me products that I never ever use, updating preferences doesn’t help.
I never actually used it much a few years ago when I had it, but I enjoyed using it over my makeup when I was trying out the products in this bag. Amorepacific is a K-beauty brand I truly adore- I couldn’t resist selecting this as my choice item of the month. This vitamin C serum comes in the tiniest, cutest bottle- probably because the one-ounce version of the stuff retails for $250. Can you believe this little sample is worth the retail price of my glam bag plus subscription? This serum is formulated with vitamin C, green tea polysaccharides, and white peony, and it has a watery texture that my skin soaked up quickly. I liked how it absorbed fast but it didn’t leave a film behind because it layered well under my antioxidant serum.
